ISLE OF SKYE SCOTTISH EXOTIC SEA SALT
MULTI-AWARD WINNING-PREMIUM
Salts of the 7 Seas offers it up in a cork jar with it's own spoon!
From the old Norse sky-a, meaning “cloud island,” a Viking reference to the mist enshrouded Cuillen hills, the Isle of Skye is a patchwork of velvet moors, jagged mountains, sparkling lochs and towering sea cliffs. Since 600 BC, salt production in Scotland was plentiful using available wood, peat and coal as a source of heat to evaporate the sea waters from the salt pans. The early 1700s saw the last salt produced on the Isle of Skye until 2013 when a small group of friends, using innovative and environmentally aware production methods for natural solar evaporation, began producing a beautiful, whole mineral, natural sea salt, ideal for Scottish Salmon and all your favorite seafood dishes! Net wt 6.5 oz.
